Multifunctional Intelligent Robot "Vineyard Smartman"
Innovative Technology Boosts agriculture: "Puyuan Zhi Ren"Agricultural Plant Protection Robot and Orchard Management Robot Shine at the Grape Spring Plowing and Vine Cultivation Cultural Experience Event at the eastern foot of Helan Mountain in Ningxia.
On April 15, 2024, at the Grape Spring Plowing Exhibition and Cultural Experience Event held at the eastern foot of the Helan Mountains in Ningxia, a multifunctional intelligent agricultural robot named "Vineyard Smartman" attracted widespread attention. The event was jointly organized by the Management Committee of the Helan Mountain Eastern Foot Grape Wine Industry Park, the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Autonomous Region, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the Autonomous Region, the Department of Commerce of the Autonomous Region, and the Ningxia Helan Mountain Eastern Foot Grape and Wine Association. It was co-hosted by the Yinchuan Grape Wine Industry Development Service Center, the Yinchuan Cultural Tourism Radio and Television Bureau, the Helan County People's Government, and the Ningxia Tuluanduo Grape Wine Town.
"Vineyard Smartman" was developed by Shaanxi Shangyida IoT Technology Co., Ltd., led by Professor Li Hua, the lifelong honorary dean of the Grape Wine College of Northwest A&F University. This robot is not only an important part of Professor Li Hua's simplified cultivation model for winemaking grapes but also the world's first fully unmanned intelligent equipment designed specifically for winemaking grapes.
It is reported that "Vineyard Smartman" has multiple functions such as soil excavation, burial, pruning, mowing, transportation, and spraying, capable of achieving fully unmanned operation comprehensively. The robot is also equipped with remote management functions, enabling efficient operation in special mountainous and hilly Orchards. The use of this robot can reduce the labor costs of winemaking grape management by more than 80%, significantly improving operational efficiency and economic benefits.
The exhibition of "Vineyard Smartman" at this event received unanimous praise from leaders and experts from both inside and outside the region, hailed as a milestone in agricultural technological innovation. With the promotion of such intelligent equipment, it is expected to greatly promote the modernization of regional agriculture and contribute to the development of agriculture towards greater efficiency, environmental friendliness, and economy.
